Landscape Literacy - Poetry Workshop - HFNPAIRPOEMS

City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources is proud to present a two-day poetry workshop series at Horseshoe Farm Nature Preserve with North Carolina based poets Chris Tonelli and Lauren Hunter. With a focus on the notion of ‘landscape literacy’, and gaining new understandings of the nature found at the Preserve, Lauren and Chris will lead participants in walking and observation sessions, discussions and writing exercises, with an optional poetry/short-form writing reading on the second day of the workshop. Preserve Naturalist Staff and Nature Preserve Artist in Residence Scott Hazard will be present to assist with the walking and observation sessions and provide interpretive insights about the intent of the Preserve and the nature found within it. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to sign up for Landscape Literacy - Poetry Workshop I also. Chris and Lauren will help those that could not attend Landscape Literacy - Poetry Workshop I get caught up in the second workshop.
